When building a luxury performance sedan, Hyundai has taken a cue from the world’s best car companies: a rear-wheel drive architecture powered by a lightweight aluminum alloy V8 engine mounted longitudinally. This balanced distribution of weight throughout the chassis enhances precision and control over acceleration, braking, and cornering forces. Which means both driver and passengers can enjoy superior riding comfort while still experiencing the exhilaration of putting power to pavement.

For the Equus, it’s about more than just a stunning exterior. Our designers looked to create a body that is both beautiful and functional. The Equus’ fluidic design makes it incredibly aerodynamic, yielding a coefficient of drag of just 0.27. This number is remarkable for a luxury sedan, which also makes it that much more fuel-efficient.

When it comes to perfection, it’s the smart details that make all the difference. The 2013 Equus offers rain-repelling acoustic laminated glass (front doors), which mutes wind noise and allows grease, dust, and liquid to be easily wiped clean from the front side windows. Mounted puddle lamps under the outside mirrors illuminate your path to and from your car at night. And wrap-around LED taillights not only look great, but also dramatically increase visibility, both day and night.
